MTW's model is to undertake and advance complex applied research for the benefit of society through collaborative engagement of private and public enterprises. By bringing the voice of the customer and appropriate business process rigor into the academic lab, we aim to focus applied research and product development in support of ASU's Design Imperatives of the New American University.
Arizona State University has significantly invested in physical and intellectual infrastructure that begets MTW’s platform-development-leverage opportunity. Over a ten year period ASU is investing more than $140 million in strategic research programs and more than $110 million in research facilities that bolster MTW development capacity.
MTW promotes and leverages state-of-the-art infrastructure at ASU together with the Valley’s wide-ranging nano, system, sensor, medical and wireless competencies, to transform today’s complicated electronic products into light, flexible, compact, intelligent, wearable devices.
